Corporate Social Responsibility

Setras firmly believes in sustainable development.

For this reason, it is strongly convinced that the only way of doing business is based on the QHSSE & CSR Integrated Management System. (Quality-Health-Safety-Security-Environment & Corporate Social Responsibility), adopting without reservation “The 2030 Agenda for sustainable development of the United Nations”, containing the following “17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” – Fig. 1, which represent the common goals of sustainable development on today’s complex social challenges.

Green Economy

At the beginning of 2018, the Safety First program started in Setras.

The program adopted by the whole group puts safety in the workplace first.

Zero accident target, is what Setras aims not only to guarantee very high working standards to its customers, but to generate a culture of training and information, which ensures all its collaborators the certainty of returning to their families to end of work.

Life Cycle Thinking

‘Life Cycle Thinking’ is our approach to reduce the environmental impacts of all our activities. This is why we check and improve the maintenance, washing and use of our vehicles in terms of environmental quality. Our company and our industrial processes are subject to an ISO 14001 certified environmental management system. Minimizing the environmental impact of industrial processes means:

  1. Reduce the consumption of energy and natural resources;
  2. Contain the emission of pollutants and noise pollution;
  3. Improve work place environments;
  4. Eliminate conditions for any potential environmental accident.

In our company every single industrial process is carried out using innovative procedures together with methods which are in continuous improvement, in respect of the environment. A specific and significant example of this is the introduction of our internal industrial cleaning system. This process is a technical starting point for further improvements in the sector concerning the waste disposal from cleaning. All our industrial processes are certified according to standard ISO 14001. This is a voluntary certification that guarantees the control and continuous improvement of any environmental impact from production processes, starting from the actual use of energies until waste management.
